Featuring:

Black Cat Bone

A premier Northern California band that plays both traditional and
contemporary blues will be playing at the Woodland Tomato Festival 2010!

Spanning the entire blues spectrum from the down-home acoustic delta style of Robert Johnson and Blind Will McTell, to the electrified Chicago blues of Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy, to the jazz-inflected stylings of B.B. King and T-Bone Walker, Black Cat Bone covers it all.

Black Cat Bone, a four-piece combo, includes guitar, harmonica, bass and drums. Charles "Chicken Scratch" Oriel, on electric, acoustic and resonator (slide) guitars, also provides lead vocals. Charles has been playing guitar and singing for more than 30 years, in various bands in Washington, DC, St. Louis, Pennsylvania and now the Sacramento area. Brian "Honeycomb" Souders, on harmonica, trades hot licks and soulful riffs with Charles. Travis "T-Bone" Bradley, on electric and acoustic bass guitar, has a wealth of musical experience in numerous genres. Finally, on drums and vocals, Julia "Little Moo" Simon provides a steady "in-the-pocket" groove.

Whether you need the intimate feel of acoustic blues for a smaller setting or the driving rhythms of electric blues, R&B, and boogie (or all of them together), Black Cat Bone can provide the tunes and atmosphere you seek!
